Running TreeLD

To start the program under Windows NT, click on the TreeLD program icon. Linux/Unix users have to run the batch script "TreeLD" to initiate the program. Then a new window should be opened similar to the one described in section 4. To start the analysis of a new datafile, the user must generate a new project. For such a project, the analysis of a datafile consists of two major steps. The first step is the inference of a set of trees consistent with the marker data. The second step is the analysis of the generated set of trees. In the following, each of these steps is discussed in more detail.
